Although my preferred platform for working is a Mac, as a Windows user for many years, I completely understand the importance of ensuring my websites and templates are cross-browser and cross-platform compatible and look the same in different browsers on both Windows PCs and Macs. I have a Mac and several Windows PCs so I am able to fully test all my work during development. I often work with a Mac plus 2 laptops on my desk so I can continually check for any cross-browser or cross-platform issues.
As standard all my sites are tested on (and coded for) the latest versions of
- Windows PC - Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome
- Macintosh - FireFox, Safari and Camino
- Text only browser - Lynx. By testing the site using Lynx I am able to test the website for accessibility issues that users with text only screen readers my encounter.
