A static website is a website composed in individual pages. There are a number of reasons why you might prefer to have a static website. It could be that you only require a few pages that won't be updated very often. Or you might want a truely custom layout that isn't easily achieve with standard content management system and your budget does not stretch to a custom build content management system.
